on growing up...

Growing up to me means.... Conforming.

on a personal note...
  1. Who do you play? Describe your character.

I play Lyric, she's fun while being the oldest.

  2. What is your favorite part of this process?

My fav part of the process have been the intimate, honest, open talks we've been having about racism, prejudice, white privilege & intersectionality.

  3. What is the hardest part of this process for you?

The hardest part has been really coming to terms with how low on the American totem pole I rank- as a Black Woman from NE DC.

  4. Why is this show important to you?

This show is important to me because these are personal issues myself, family & friends deal with daily.

  5. What is one thing you have learned from making this show?

I've learned that it truly isn't everyone who has turned a blind eye & deaf ear to the cries of minorities & the under privileged. It warms my heart to see people who aren't directly effected want to take action because they are essential for progression.

  6. If you could stay any age forever, what age would you stay and why?

    17. My fav #. I was born on 7.17

  7. Was there ever a time when you were afraid for your life?

Absolutely. Car accidents, plane rides & watching guns drawn are some examples.

  8. What was your favorite bedtime story and why?

I don't remember but my favorite story was/is Disney's Pocahontas- not what actually happened to the poor woman.

  9. Why did you want to be a part of SOTM?

I had to be apart of this because being a Black Woman in America speaks for itself. Our history is a mystery, our present is a struggle & our future is up to us.

  10. If you feel you have privilege, have you ever used it in your favor? If so, for what?

Being a woman you get slight "privileges" which in turn also contradict themselves. Ex. Men thinking you're weaker & doing things for you.
